Masjidfy

Advertising policy

Last updated October 2026

Masjidfy is used by mosques and their communities. Business promotion keeps Masjidfy free for mosques, so every listing and offer must be appropriate for a mosque setting and honest with the community.

Who can promote

  • Genuine, lawful businesses and professionals serving the local community.
  • Each business is approved by the mosque it lists with, and can be removed by that mosque or by Masjidfy at any time.

Not allowed

  • Interest-based (riba) lending, credit or finance products, including payday loans and conventional mortgages.
  • Alcohol, gambling, betting, lotteries, adult content, tobacco and vaping.
  • Food or meat described as halal without being able to show its certification on request.
  • Misleading claims, fake reviews, pyramid or “get rich quick” schemes, and unregulated investment or crypto promotions.
  • Political campaigning, or content that is hateful, sectarian or disrespectful to any group.
  • Financial products such as halal mortgages or investments, unless promoted by a firm authorised by the FCA.

Offers

  • Offers must be honoured as described, with clear terms and end dates.
  • Voucher codes are for members of the community and must not require personal data beyond what is needed.

Revenue

When a business lists through a mosque, promotion fees are shared between Masjidfy and that mosque. The current split is shown in each mosque's dashboard.

Promotions bought directly from Masjidfy (at masjidfy.app/advertise) aren't tied to one mosque. They are reviewed by Masjidfy before going live, are always labelled “Sponsored”, and at most one is shown on a mosque's home screen at a time.

Reporting a problem

If you see a listing that breaks this policy, tell your mosque or contact Masjidfy and we will review it promptly.

This template is provided to help you launch. Please have it reviewed by a qualified adviser before going live, and add your organisation's registered details.
